About Lisa

I've loved books before I could even read. That little girl in the picture? That's me. And that plastic picture book was just the start. I was that kid who could never take out enough books from the library or help herself from sneaking peeks at whatever mystery novel my mother was reading. I was always among the first to volunteer at my elementary and high school school libraries and I'm not lying when I tell you I was ecstatic the day I got to wield the stamp that marked the 'return by date' on the card in back of a library book. (Showing my age, I know).   You would have thought I would have ended up an English teacher or a librarian or even an author, but no. I stumbled into radio and never looked back. But surprisingly enough, radio led me back to my first true obsession. And so here I am, getting to read all the books I want and talking to the people who write them. If only that little girl had known what a few decades and a library card would bring!
